    1944-D/S 1C MS66 Red PCGS. CAC. FS-511. Listed by CONECA as OMM-001, this popular Guide Book and Cherrypickers variety shows the undertype of an S protruding from the top corner of the primary D mintmark. FS-511 is the rarest and most valuable of the two D over S varieties, and the one usually quoted in price guides.

    This delightful Premium Gem offers well-detailed design elements, with just a touch of the usual softness on Lincoln's beard. The all-important undertype is plainly visible with magnification. The well-preserved original red surfaces radiate vibrant mint luster on both sides. Population: 12 in 66 (2 in 66+) Red, 1 finer. CAC: 11 in 66, 0 finer (6/17).(Registry values: P2)
