1953 50C PR67 Deep Cameo PCGS. Ex: Blue Ocean. Production quality continued to slowly improve three years into the resumption of proof coinage at the Mint. By 1953, half dollars could be produced without distracting hairlines, though consistent Deep Cameo contrast was still an issue. Examples of this quality are still very rare and aggressively targeted by Registry Set enthusiasts. This Superb Gem is a fresh as the day it was struck, devoid of contact and boldly contrasted. Excellent visual appeal to match the technical preservation. Population: 15 in 67 Deep Cameo, 1 finer (6/17).
