    1841 Ten Dollar, MS63
    Single Finest Example Known

1841 $10 MS63 PCGS. This is a coin of exceptional importance. As with any early No Motto eagle, the 1841 ten dollar (63,131 coins struck) is rarely encountered at the Mint State level. The appearance of any Uncirculated representative is a noteworthy event. But this is not just any mint condition 1841 eagle. It is the single finest example certified, a position it has held for at least 16 years since its last public appearance.

The surfaces feature soft, frosted mint luster and warm orange-gold coloration. The devices are well brought-up with especially strong definition on the stars. Only the hair curl immediately above Liberty's ear is a bit soft. Two marks angle toward each other that resemble an inverted "V" on the lower jawline of Liberty, this being the most readily identifiable marker for pedigree purposes. Population: 1 in 63, 0 finer (1/18).
