Description
Victoria gold Half Sovereign 1851, S-3859, KM735.1, Young Head, MS65+ PCGS, truly exceptional, the strike generally bold, with smooth satiny luster and lovely old-gold toning. This denomination has never been nearly as popular as the Sovereign but most dates, especially early dates, tend to be rarer in high grade than the larger coins. Most half sovereigns went into constant commercial use shortly after being made. Very few have been graded above MS63 of any date. Rare grade.Metal: Gold
Diameter: 19.30mm
Weight: 3.994g
AGW: 0.1177oz
Mintage: 774,000
