Description

Victoria gold "St. George" Sovereign 1880-S MS62+ PCGS, Sydney mint, KM7, S-3858A. First "Small Head" variety. A glorious example of this earlier Victoria Sovereign with pale-gold color and a seemingly matte-finish across the surfaces. Few marks for the grade, and visually memorably as is noted by the coveted plus designation for superior eye appeal. Currently the single finest certified example at PCGS.
Ex. Park House Collection.
