Description

Victoria gold Proof 1/2 Sovereign 1887 PR63+ Deep Cameo PCGS, KM766, S-3869, WR-362. A premium example of rich gold color, Victoria's portrait so frosted as to appear an even darker yellow than the mirror fields behind. A few contact marks in the obverse field are the only factors holding this coin back from a higher certified grade, and even so the piece remains deeply attractive. Well-struck and well-preserved, an especially visually appealing selection from this popular Jubilee proof set.
