Description

George III gold Sovereign 1817 MS63 NGC, KM674, S-3785. A fantastic example of this first-year Sovereign, the type so often encountered with heavy handling or hairlines yet represented here in firm choice grade. George's portrait has some softer detail to the high points (as is usual for the series) yet is clearly struck to a high standard, the planchet glowing with mint luster and bearing only minor distracting marks.
