Description

Charles IV 8 Reales 1803/2 So-FJ/JJ MS62 NGC, Santiago mint, KM51, cf. Elizondo-56 (for overdate), Cal-1039. One of six different overdate and assayer combinations that involve the year 1803, and surely one of the most elusive of Charles IV at this state of preservation, with only a handful surpassing a near-Choice assignment across the entire series. This singular Mint State example at NGC, possessing a pearlescent patina and crisp definition to the devices, including in the core central areas that were prone to strike weakness.
