Republic 8 Reales 1848 So-JM MS63 NGC, Santiago mint, KM96.2, Elizondo-102. The exceptionally sharp strike of the oversized condor grabs the viewer's attention while the shimmering devices throughout make this piece hard to put down. This 1848 emission gives up half a millimeter in diameter compared to earlier dates (KM96.1), though it carries the same fineness and weight.
