Colombia: Ferdinand VII 8 Reales 1812 P-JF XF45 NGC,...
Description
Ferdinand VII 8 Reales 1812 P-JF XF45 NGC, Popayan mint, KM71, Cal-1363, Restrepo-120.3. One of the seldom seen dates from Popayan, offered here with dark though not opaque toning supported by patches of russet that invigorate the surfaces. Light handling marks are in line with the assigned grade, though this retains excellent eye appeal to go along with its premier rarity status. One of just five currently straight-graded between both services, sitting just behind the El Dorado AU50 example that generated substantial interest when seen in 2018.From the Grundy Collection of Latin American and Spanish Coins
