Description

Nueva Granada Mule 8 Reales 1820-JF VF35 NGC, Bogota mint, KM-D7, Restrepo-156.1. A coveted one-year mule type struck with the obverse of KM-C6 and the reverse of KM78. A significant upgrade from the previous best example of the type that we have ever offered, which was a VF25 that we sold in April 2019 (Heritage Auction 3073, Lot 30778). This piece offers details that fall on the cusp of an XF designation atop a planchet toned to a cool gunmetal gray.
