Description

Ferdinand VI 8 Reales 1760 G-P AU50 NGC, Guatemala mint, KM18, Cal-438. The last date of the Pillar Dollar under Ferdinand and one of the key emissions in the entire series. Elusive in all states of preservation, but especially challenging at this level of technical quality, where only a single specimen grades higher. The center strike is picture perfect while the originality of the surfaces provides the ideal backdrop for the fully rendered devices and lettering. A small planchet defect on the reverse crown is noted for accuracy.
