Description

Charles III 8 Reales 1770 G-P AU53 NGC, Guatemala mint, KM27.2, Cal-1002. Small planchet type. The fully contoured devices lead to a wonderful visual effect on this enchanting, cabinet-toned Pillar dollar. At present, there are no Mint State examples of this scarce type at either grading service, leaving this rather attractive example as one of the finest known.
