Guatemala: Ferdinand VII 8 Reales 1812 NG-M MS62+ NGC,...
Description
Ferdinand VII 8 Reales 1812 NG-M MS62+ NGC, Nueva Guatemala mint, KM69, Cal-1225. Although the major reference works do not consider this date to be any more scarce than the 1816 emission, the certification records tell a different story, as scant few have found their way into NGC or PCGS holders. This beaming specimen was likely struck following the cleaning of the dies as it evinces the characteristic streaks, particularly on the obverse. Fresh luster and strong details abound on this top-pop example.Ex. Rufino Alverez Collection
