Description

Central American Republic 8 Reales 1830 NG-M MS62 NGC, Nueva Guatemala mint, KM4, Elizondo-90. Among the scarcer dates from this prolific series, especially when located approaching or firmly in a Mint State preservation. A firm strike in the key areas, including the sunface, highlights this gently prismatic, near-Choice piece. Slightly reflective, there is a near-Prooflike quality to the dark complexion that lays over the planchet. Two examples rank finer by a single point, making this a rare opportunity for the Guatemalan specialist.
