Guatemala: Central American Republic 8 Reales 1847/6 NG-A MS65+ NGC,...
Description
Alluring and Flashy Central American Republic Gem
Central American Republic 8 Reales 1847/6 NG-A MS65+ NGC,
Nueva Guatemala mint, KM4, Elizondo-107. The paradigmatic die break
circles nearly the entirety of the obverse legend on this
brilliantly metallic specimen that emits Prooflike flashes at the
turn of the wrist. The undisturbed devices paint the prettiest of
pictures on this crowd favorite of a type, so seldom seen at this
level of preservation. In fact, while the census significantly
thins out at Choice, it becomes very lonely at this Gem+ elevation,
leaving this piece as the singular winner. Certainly among the
finest across the series, and worthy of considerable attention as
such. From the Grundy Collection of Latin American and Spanish Coins
