Great Britain: Elizabeth II silver Specimen Crown 1966 SP64 NGC,...
Description
Elizabeth II silver Specimen Crown 1966 SP64 NGC, ESC-4347 (R2). An intriguing unofficial Pattern by R. G. Hunt and A. M. Foley for the British Treasury, seeking to be applied to both a silver 5 Pounds and gold 25 Pounds issue. A highly imaginative type, blending hypernatural busts on the obverse with a neoclassical motif on the reverse. Despite the wonderfully whimsical design elements, it's the toning and prooflike finish that steals the show. The vivid coloration and waxy surfaces make this Near-Gem piece hard to put down. This is an absolute showstopper.Metal: Silver
Diameter: 38mm
