Description

Ferdinand VII gold 2 Escudos 1817 NG-M AU58 NGC, Nueva Guatemala mint, KM70, Cal-1592. Combining an antique red-gold patina with an abundance of flashy luster, raising the visual appeal of the specimen above its assigned grade. Sharply struck and very reminiscent of the NGC AU58+ example that we handled in 2022 (Heritage Auction 3099, May 2022, Lot 32013). As indicated on the label, this specimen is pedigreed to the esteemed Isaac Rudman Numismatic Cabinet Collection.
