Description
South Peru. Republic 8 Reales 1838 CUZCO-MS MS63 PCGS, Cuzco mint, KM170.4. An absolutely stunning rendition of this beloved Sunface 8 Reales, offering up effervescent brightness in the central areas while gradual layers of deeper toning move towards the peripherals. Conservatively graded in an Old Green Holder (OGH), this specimen arguably comes out on top tête-à-tête against the ex. Whittier/Peh Collection MS63 example that recently realized $6,710 (Heritage Auction 3129, January 2026, Lot 31220).Metal: Silver
