1847-D $2 1/2 Quarter Eagle MS64 PCI (MS60 Sea Salvaged, Cleaned). A well struck example that has orange-yellow color. The obverse has a faint but lengthy vertical pinscratch through the T in LIBERTY and the 8 in the date. A faint but lengthy horizontal pinscratch journeys from star 2 to star 11. The surfaces have a deep matte appearance that is unusual and by no means original. Personal inspection is recommended. A desirable D-mint issue that has a scant mintage of 15,784 pieces.
