    1854 Pattern One Cent, Judd-161

    1854 P1C One Cent, Judd-161 Original, Pollock-187, R.4, PR 64 Brown ICG. The design is similar to that on production large cents except that there are no stars on the obverse, and the diameter is smaller. Struck in copper or bronze with a plain edge. The otherwise glossy-brown surfaces reveal a few streaks of charcoal color in the lower left obverse field.
