1865-S 25C Quarter VF20 Surface Damage PCI (VF20 Environmental Damage). Milky-gray in color with some charcoal patina at the margins. LIBERTY is intact and easily legible. There are no mentionable abrasions. The coin has perhaps spent some time in slightly acidic soil. A exceptionally rare issue with a low mintage of 41,000 pieces. PCGS and NGC combined have graded only 43 examples. (NGC ID# 3KV6, PCGS# 5462)Weight: 6.22 grams
