    Description

    Elusive Proof 1867 Liberty Twenty

1867 $20 Double Eagle PR62 Altered Surfaces SEGS. Both sides are brilliant throughout with fully brought up devices. The surfaces exhibit a rich, reddish-gold color that draws attention away from the wispy, grade-defining abrasions. Curious halos around the devices are noted for accuracy. The Mint probably melted many of the 50 proof 1867 Double Eagles produced, and only 10-12 coins are believed extant.

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26DK, PCGS# 9082)

    Weight: 33.44 grams

    Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
