    High Grade Kellogg Twenty

1854 $20 Kellogg & Co. Twenty Dollar MS 63 Cleaned SEGS (MS 60 Fields Tooled, Whizzed). Short Arrows. K-1, R.5. Kellogg twenties are one of the more available (and popular) territorial gold coins. Some 300,000 pieces were struck in 1854 and 1855, and obviously quite a few have survived. This is a high grade piece that shows several small abrasions which account for the grade. Additionally, the fields have been smoothed and the piece has a very bright overall appearance from whizzing. Listed on page 299 of the 2001 Guide Book.
