    Description

1799 Dollar VF 35 PCI. B-17, BB-164. This moderately circulated specimen would fit comfortably into any type collection. Both sides are originally toned in rich blue-gray hues and exhibit full borders. Although worn, most major features are still discernible with the notable exception of the eagle's head and the surrounding ribbon. For accuracy, we note a few scattered contact marks, although none are unduly distracting.

With the superb catalog, a masterwork prepared by Mark Borckhardt, the sale was destined to meet all of my expectations; that it did, and then some. Be assured that I would highly recommend Heritage Auctions to any of my associates contemplating the sale
