1854 Kellogg & Co. Twenty Dollar AU 55 Cleaned and Possibly Repaired. K-2, R.4. Graded MS 63 by Accugrade. Heavy date with a skinny 8, long arrows. The obverse has a cleaned appearance which accounts for the circulated grade as little if any wear is noted. The left obverse field and possibly the cheek on Liberty may have been repaired, but it is difficult to tell, and personal examination is required. Likely from the Thayer hoard of 58 pieces which were found in Nebraska.
