    Original Mercury Dimes. This group of dimes were all purchased directly from the Treasury Department by Dr. Walter Wiley from lists of contemporary coins that were available for face value plus postage in the mid-1930s and early 1940s. All the coins were stored in manila envelopes until recently and are similarly toned. Included are: (2) 1931-S; (4) 1934; (4) 1935; (5) 1941; (5) 1941-D; (5) 1941-S; (6) 1942; (6) 1942-D; and (6) 1942-S. The coins average MS 64.
