    Description

    Durrani. Ahmad Shah gold Mohur AH 1174 Year 14 (1773/4) MS63 PCGS, Shahjahanabad mint, cf. KM766 (regnal year unlisted for mint), A-3090 (R), cf. Whitehead-31 (same). 20mm. 10.85gm. Misattributed on the holder to year 15, though the year 14 appears very clearly at the bottom of the reverse, and seems unpublished as such. Gorgeous satiny surfaces with only the lightest abrasions atop the highpoints, likely a result of the striking process.
