    Michael II the Amorian (AD 820-829). Lot of six (6) AR miliaresions.  Constantinople mint. Cross potent set on three steps / Legend in five lines. Sear 1691 (Michael III). DOC 6 (Michael III). All toned, a few encrusted, otherwise Very Fine to Good Very Fine.

    This type, originally attributed to Michael III by Sear and DOC, has recently been reattributed to Michael II based on hoard evidence.
