Alexander III the Great (336-323 BC). AR tetradrachm (28mm, 17.24 gm, 11h). Memphis, lifetime issue, ca. 325-323 BC. Head of Heracles right in lion-skin headdress / ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Zeus seated left, holding eagle and scepter; rose in left field, ΔIO beneath throne. Price 3971 var. (placement of letters). Lightly toned.
