AV solidus (20mm, 4.40 gm, 6h).  Constantinople, 9th officina, AD 674-681. ?N T-NЧS P, diademed bust of Constantine facing slightly right, wearing helmet with frontal plume and cuirass, holding spear over right shoulder and shield with horseman motif on left / VICTOA AVGV, cross potent on three steps, between Heraclius and Tiberius, both beardless and wearing crown and chlamys, and holding globus cruciger, Θ//CONOB. Sear 1154. DOC 8 variant (officina not listed). MIB 7a. Well centered and sharply struck from fresh dies. Among the finest known for this crude type. NGC MS 5/5 - 5/5.
