CARIAN SATRAPS. Hidrieus (351/0-344/3 BC). AR tetradrachm (24mm, 15.14 gm, 12h). Head of Apollo facing slightly right, wearing laurel wreath, drapery at neck / ΙΔΡΙΕΩΣ, Zeus Laubrandus standing right, holding double ax and spear, small E to right of feet. SNG von Aulock 8046. SNG Lockett 2909. Lightly toned with underlying luster. An overall very attractive example of this type, with a handsome face and a strong pair of eyes. Extremely Fine.Auction Info
