CELTIC BRITAIN. Atrebates & Regni. Tincommius (ca. 30-10 BC). AV stater (5.38 gm). Atrebatic D. Crude laureate head of Apollo right / TINC DV, disjointed horse galloping right; wheel below. Hobbs 764 (same dies). Van Arsdell 363-1. SCBC 72. Rare. Nearly extremely fine.

Tincommius was apparently the son and heir of Commius as king of the Atrebates. His coins closely mimic Roman types and suggest he enjoyed Rome's favor and protection.
