IONIA. Magnesia ad Meandrum. Ca. mid-2nd century BC. AR tetradrachm (31mm, 16.51 gm, 11h). NGC Choice AU 5/5 - 4/5. Euphemus and Pausanius, magistrates. Diademed, draped bust of Artemis right, wearing stephane, hair tied in knot at back of head, bow and quiver over left shoulder / ΜΑΓΝΗΤΩΝ / ΕΥΦΗΜΟΣ / ΠAYΣANIOY, Apollo standing left on maeander pattern, nude, laurel branches in lowered right hand, leaning on tripod with left arm; all within laurel wreath. BMC 36. Slight apricot toning on obverse.
