MACEDONIAN KINGDOM. Alexander III the Great (336-323 BC). AR tetradrachm (16.80 gm). Early posthumous barbarous imitation. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion-skin, paws tied before neck / Zeus enthroned left, legs draped, feet on footstool, holding eagle and scepter, monogram in field before, NI over ΛO(?)Λ below strut. Price -. Light scrapes in upper left reverse field. NGC Choice Fine 4/5 - 3/5 (encapsulated as "early posthumous issue").  In the royal name the N appears retrograde and the Δ is omitted; the ΛO(?)Λ  in the second line under the strut is unrecorded, as is the monogram or monogram-like design in left field.
