MACEDONIAN KINGDOM. Alexander III the Great (336-323 BC). AV stater (18mm, 8.61 gm, 9h). Early posthumous issue of Lampsacus, ca. 323-317 BC. Helmeted head of Athena right; helmet decorated with coiled serpent / AΛEΞANΔPOY, Nike standing left, holding wreath and stylis; buckle in left fiield; A below crescent under left wing of Nike.
