MACEDONIAN KINGDOM. Alexander III the Great (336-323 BC). AR tetradrachm (25mm, 16.21 gm, 12h). Late lifetime or early posthumous issue of Cyprus, ca. 325/3-319/8 BC. Head of Heracles right, wearing lion-skin headdress / AΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus seated left, holding eagle and scepter; in left left, prow right; under throne, I above strut. Price 3091 (Amathus). Rare. Attractive old cabinet toning. Good Very Fine.
