Pamphylia, Side. Ca. 145-125 B.C. AR tetradrachm (28 mm, 16.26 g, 12 h). Kleuch..., magistrate. Head of Athena right, wearing Corinthian helmet / Nike advancing left, holding wreath; pomegranate in left field. SNG BN 696; SNG Copenhagen 400; SNG von Aulock 4797; A. A close analysis of the Sidetan tetradrachms by Andrew Meadows in relation to the hoard evidence and the Sidetan inspired Galatian issues of Amyntas has led to a classification of the series into four groups struck in the name of Kleuchares. This coin belongs to group II and is dateable to the second half of the second century B.C.
