GALATIAN KINGDOM. Amyntas (ca. 36-25 BC). AE (17mm, 11h.) NGC
VF, light scratches. Draped bust of Artemis right, bow and
quiver over shoulder / ΒΑΣΙΛΕ-ΩΣ / ΑΜΥΝΤΟΥ, stag standing right.
RPC I, 3503.Marc Antony named Amyntas as king of Galatia in 37/36 BC. Possibly out of his gratitude for his appointment, Artemis is portrayed on this issue with the features of Cleopatra VII.
