CAESAR-AVGVSTVS, oak-leaf laureate head of Augustus left / DIVVS-IVLIVS, the Julian comet with eight rays, the topmost forming a tail. RIC 37b. BMCRE 326. BN 1298. RSC 97. Rare variety with head left! Sharply struck and deeply toned with flashes of color in the fields.
