Galba (AD 68-69). AE sestertius (33mm, 26.52 gm, 7h). Choice VF, altered surfaces. IMP SER GALBA C-AES AVG TR P, laureate, draped bust of Galba right / RO-MA, Roma standing facing, helmeted head left, in military attire, with Victory standing right in outstretched right hand, grounded spear in left; S-C across fields. RIC I 358. A handsome piece with a pleasing even umber toning and distinguished pedigree. Evidence of altered surfaces, thus ineligible for encapsulation.
