Hadrian. A.D. 117-138. AR denarius (18 mm, 3.52 g, 6'). Rome, ca. A.D. 134-138. Bare-headed and draped bust right / NILVS, Nilus reclining right, holding reed and cornucopiae; hippopotamus at feet; crocodile in water below. RIC 310; BMC 860; RSC 990. Toned, good VF, faint cleaning scratches.
