Marcus Aurelius, as Caesar (AD 139-161). AV aureus (21mm, 7.07 gm, 6h).  Rome, AD 146-147. AVRELIVS CAE-SAR AVG PII F, draped bust of young Marcus Aurelius right, bareheaded and lightly bearded / TR POT COS II, Minerva standing right, holding grounded spear in right hand and resting left hand on grounded shield. RIC (Antoninus) 435a. BMCRE (Antoninus) 613. Cohen 594. Calicó 1923. Residual luster in fields. A pleasing portrait of the young Marcus Aurelius. NGC (photo-certificate) XF 5/5 - 5/5, Fine Style.
