Nero (AD 54-68). AV aureus (18mm, 7.03 gm, 6h). NGC VG 3/5 - 3/5, graffito. Rome, AD 64-65. NERO CAESAR-AVGVSTVS, laureate head of Nero right / IVPPITER-CVSTOS, Jupiter enthroned left, bare to waist, cloak around lower limbs, thunderbolt downward in right hand, grounded scepter in left. RIC I 52. Calicó 412. Although well-circulated, the portrait is still quite nice with pleasing color.Auction Info
