Description

Nero. A.D. 54-68. AE sestertius (33 mm, 22.11 g). Rome. ca. A.D. 64-66. Laureate bust right, wearing aegis / Nero on horseback right, holding spear; behind him, soldier on horseback holding vexillum. RIC 172(?). VF, green and brown surfaces, obverse legend reengraved, hair and wreath details strengthened.
