Theodosius I, Eastern Roman Empire (AD 379-395). AV solidus (21mm, 4.51 gm, 12h). MS, brushed. Constantinople, 2nd officina, AD 383-388. D N THEODO-SIVS P F AVG, rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Theodosius I right, seen from front / CONCORDI-A AVGG B, Constantinopolis seated facing on plain throne, helmeted head right, right foot on prow, scepter in right hand, shield in left inscribed VOT / X / MVLT / XV; CONOB in exergue. RIC IX -.

Note - RIC IX 71b2, reverse legend blundered, should be AVGGG, not noted for officina B, but described in footnote on p. 231 for another specimen in Paris from officina H with same legend.
