Theodosius II. A.D. 402-450. AV solidus (20 mm, 4.48 g, 6 h). Constantinople, A.D. 425-429. Helmeted, diademed, and cuirassed bust of Theodosius II facing slightly right, holding spear over shoulder and shield decorated with horseman motif / Theodosius II and Valentinian III, both nimbate and wearing consular robes, enthroned facing, each holding mappa and cruciform sceptre; above and between, star; A//CONOB.
