Vespasian. A.D. 69-79. AR denarius (18 mm, 3.46 g, 6 h). 'Judaea Capta' issue. Rome, A.D. 72-73. Laureate head of Vespasian right / Victory standing right, crowning legionary standard with wreath. RIC 362; BMC 74-7; BN 60; RSC 617a. Near VF, toned, greenish PVC residue (can be removed).The reverse type honors the legions that served in Judaea to quell the bloody First Jewish Revolt.
