    Divus Constantine I the Great (died AD 337). AE 1/4 nummus (15mm, 2.32 gm, 6h). VF. Nicomedia, officina 6 and 3, AD 342. D V CONSTANTINVS P T AVGG, veiled bust right / IVST VEN MEM, winged Aequitas standing left, holding scales and transverse scepter; SMNSΓ in exergue. cf. RIC VIII 43. According to RIC, this issue was only struck for officina 4 (Δ). This die seems to have been recut to an S officina followed by a Γ officina. An interesting variant sure to please the most specialist collector.
