    GALATIA. Tavium and Pessinus. Antoninus Pius (AD 117-138). Lot of two (2) rare Æ.
    Tavium. Æ (25mm, 6.30 gm). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust, right / Zeus seated on throne left, with spear in left hand. Eagle to left of throne. Date in exergue (local year 169 = A.D. 148/149). SNG Paris 2652. cf. SNG 2653=Wa 6695. Extremely rare. 2 published examples. Reported to the Ashmolean Museum for publication in 2005. Deep green patina with earthen highlights. Good very fine/Very fine.
    Pessinus. Æ (19mm, 5.83 gm). Laureate bare bust right / Apollo standing right holding a lyre, placed upon a tripod. SNG France 2580; RPC IV 5695/1-4. Rare (5 cited examples). Reported to Ashmolean Museum for publication 2005. Dark patina in fields, over yellow orichalcum type metal. About very fine.
